Funeral services for Thomas James Kenneally, 72, Littleport, was held Monday, Nov. 25, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Littleport. Rev. Richard J. Hess officiated the service with burial in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Elkader. Pallbearers were Jim Dinan, Dick Dinan, Bill Leonard, Kevin Neylan, Charles Cowie, Martin Cowie and Michael Cowie.
Thomas James Kenneally was born July 30, 1913, in Rural Strawberry Point, the son of David and Adeline (Dillon) Kenneally. He graduated from Strawberry Point High School and taught rural school for a short time. For many years he farmed in the Elkader and Littleport areas. Mr. Kenneally died Thursday, Nov. 21, 1985, at Mercy Health Center, Dubuque. He belonged to Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Adeline Kenneally, Littleport; two sisters, Mrs. Iva Nell Dinan, Elkader, Mrs. Anita Cowie, Prairie du Chien, Wis.; and three brothers, Joe of Elkader, Leo of Hidden Hills, Calif., and Gary of Littleport.
Preceding him in death was his father; a brother, Edward, killed in the Korean Conflict; and two sisters, Kathryn Leonard and Marguerite Neylan.
