Robert Koehn, 86, formerly of Farmersburg, died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 1981 at Riverview Care Center, Guttenberg, where he had resided the past five years.
Services were conducted by the Rev. Karl Hansen at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. John Lutheran Church in Farmersburg with burial in the Farmersburg-Wagner Cemetery. Pallbearers were L'Dean Berns, Glenn Berns, Stanley Koehn, Dennis Koehn, David Griffith and Lynn Moser.
Mr. Koehn was born in Read Township, Clayton County, Jan. 27, 1895, the son of August and Wilhelmina Kruger Koehn. He was married to Elsa W. Maehl, who died in 1979. They farmed prior to moving to Farmersburg.
Surviving are one son, Harley Koehn of Guttenberg; four daughters, Mrs. Vera Berns of Garnavillo, Mrs. Clyde (Reta) Rentschler and Mrs. Elmer (Violet) Hansel, both of Guttenberg, and Mrs. Lavern (Bernice) Haas of Garber; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; one brother, William Koehn of St. Olaf, and three sisters, Mrs. Tillie Harnack of Elkader, Mrs. Edwin (Freda) Osthoff of Guttenberg and Hirma Landolt of Dubuque.
