Funeral services were held the afternoon of June 19 at Witt's Funeral Home in Elkader for Robert Louis Fishel, who died June 17, 1973 at age 50.

Pastor A. F. Volle officiated at the services. Interment was in the East Side cemetery. Pallbearers were Lawrence Beck, Elias Hall, Julius Kraus, Lewis Noggle, Earl Whittle and Larry Willie.

Mr. Fishel was born April 26, 1923 at Elkport, Iowa. His parents were Robert and Emma Boehm Fishel. He was united in marriage with Ivanelle Meenan at Peace Church in Elkader on Sept. 15, 1948. He was a farmer.

Mr. Fishel is survived by his wife, and children Joann, at home, and Kenneth, at home, by one brother, Leon Fishel, of Guttenberg, and by three nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, and a sister.
