Funeral Services were held Friday afternoon at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home in Guttenberg for Edward S. Sheber of Esmann Island, Guttenberg, who died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1982 at age 43 at Finley Hospital in Dubuque as the result of a logging accident earlier the same day.
Mr. Sheber was born in Lisbon Nov. 23, 1938, a son of Edward and Pauline Spencer Sheber. He was married in Guttenberg Aug. 27, 197_ (Looks like 6.) to Charlotte White, who survives. He was a veteran of the Korean War.
The services were conducted by Mr. Richard Stodola of Elkader and burial was in Guttenberg City Cemetery. Pallbearers were David Roquet, Harold Nielsen, Ben Potter, Oliver Thiese, Jerry Simon and Bill Williams. Visitation was at the funeral home.
Surviving besides his wife, Charlotte, are two sons and a daughter, Joe, James and Michelle, all at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Sheber of Guttenberg; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Minnie Spencer of Cedar Rapids; two brothers, William and Robert, both of Guttenberg; three sisters, Mrs. Clifford (Dorothy) Heim and Mrs. William (Mary) Ohnesorge, both of Dubuque, and Mrs. Lee (JoAnn) Robinson of Beloit, Wis.
