Jackie F. Harbaugh, Jr., 41, of Terre Haute, Ind., formerly of Guttenberg died Monday, July 5, 2004, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, from results of a motorcycle accident.

Visitation from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 9, at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Guttenberg.

Funeral service was held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Guttenberg at 10:00 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Marvin Bries officiating. Pallbearers were Dan Diehe, David Black, Mac Robert Mefarling, Dave Adams, Chris Ludovissy, and Dave Wachendorf. Honorary pallbearers were Kiley McGuine, Jamie Johnson, Tony Willie, Casey Wachendorf, Eric Willie and Josh Wachendorf.

Interment was at Bethel Cemetery, rural Osterdock, where military honors were accorded.

Jackie was born the son of Jackie D. Harbaugh and (Connie) Ludovissy Harbaugh on July 1, 1963. Jackie attended St. Mary's Catholic School, where he was an alter boy, and graduated from the Guttenberg High School in 1982. He then served in the Marine Corps from 1982-1986. Jackie was also a member of the Murdock Racing Club and the Cloven Hoof Motorcycle Club. Jackie was a firefighter and advanced EMT for the Terre Haute Fire Department. He was currently the pension board secretary for the Terre Haute Fire Department. On his off days, he was also employed at Great Dane Trailers in the First Aid/Nurses Station.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents; former wife Kelly Harbaugh; one son, David B. Harbaugh of Terre Haute, Ind.; one sister, Tina Funk of Madison, Neb.; three brothers, Jeffrey (Betty) Harbaugh of McGregor; Tim Harbaugh and his former wife, Jada Harbaugh, of Guttenberg; Jesse Lee Harbaugh of Colesburg; his maternal grandparents, Francis "Duke" and Louise Ludovissy; 14 nieces and nephews and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by one niece, one nephew; and his paternal grandparents.
