Monona- Final rites for Mrs. Herman Knuth, 89, were at 2 p.m. Monday at the Luana Lutheran church. The Rev. L. W. Reuther officiated and burial was in the Lutheran cemetery.

Mrs. Knuth died Thursday at the Postville Hospital. The former Maria Eliza Garms was born Sept. 14, 1865, a daughter of Jochem and Kathryn Schultz Garms. She was married to Herman Knuth who died in 1930.

Surviving are two sons, Walter of Luana and Vern of Owatonna, Minn., and one daughter, Mrs. Arno Kliefoth of Luana. The Schultz Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
