Louis C. Clink, the son of Pete and Elizabeth Claus Klink, was born August 11, 1872, in Cox Creek township, Clayton county, and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Bernard Wilson in Los Angeles, Calif., Monday, July 11, at the age of eighty-two years and eleven months.

On October 14, 1895, he was united in marriage to Minnie Meyer in the home of the bride in Boardman township. Mr. Klink was born and lived the greater part of his life on the home farm in Cox Creek township. Shortly after the death of his wife in 1939, he retired from active farming and made his home with his children. He spent most of his remaining years with his daughter Ethel. A number of years in Cedar Falls, Iowa, and the past three years in Los Angeles, Calif. He was a confirmed member of Peace Evangelical and Reformed church of Elkader.

He is survived by four children, Milton of Elkader, Leslie of McGregor, Mrs. Frank (Melvina) Roeder of Elkader, and Mrs. Bernard (Ethel) Wilson of Los Angeles, Calif. Five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one brother, Henry, of Chicago, Ill., and one sister, Mrs. Bertha Lemka of Elkader. Mr. Klink was preceded in death by two sons, Leo at the age of twenty-four, and Harry at the age of two.

Services were held Sunday, July 17, at the Peace Evangelical and Reformed church at two o'clock. Burial was in the East Side cemetery, with the Rev. Paul Kitterer officiating.

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Witham, and Mrs. Clifford Nelson, Madison, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Wilder Mattocks, Wadena; Mr. and Mrs. Dale Roys, Volga; Mrs. Gretchen Abel, Waterloo; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dohrer, Waukon; Mrs. Harold Rima, Postville; Mrs. Varol Clough, Dubuque; Mr. and Mrs. John Meyer, Strawberry Point; Mrs. Minnie Greve, Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Klink, and Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Pust, all of Littleport; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Klink and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Klink, all of Elkport.
