Garnavillo- Eldo F. Dickman, 75, son of Henry Dickman and Reka Brandtman Dickman, was born August 20, 1894, in Garnavillo Township. He died March 1 at Memorial Hospital in Prairie du Chien, (Wis.), following a lingering illness.

He married Elenora Koss on December 4, 1919, at the bride's home.

Surviving are his wife, Elenora; five brothers, Edwin of Bellingham, Wash., and W. C., George, Elmer and Henry, all of Garnavillo; one sister, Mrs. Lorenz (Irene) Casten, Postville; and numerous nieces and relatives.

Services were held from St. Paul Lutheran Church with Rev. L. C. Urlaub officiating. Burial was in the Garnavillo City Cemetery. The services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 3. Graveside rites were conducted by Clay-Gar Post 723 of Garnavillo.

Mr. Dickman was a retired farmer of the Garnavillo area. He was a veteran of World War I. In July of 1969 he was honored for being a member of the American Legion for 50 years and was presented a plaque and pin for his faithful service. He was also a faithful church member and was active in church activities.

Pallbearers were Charlie Rausch, Don Walsh, Harlan Backhaus, Verni Stickfort, Don Lamker and Anthony Berns.
