Funeral services for Mrs. John (Lorraine) Miller, Elkader, were held Wednesday, May 29, 1993, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m., with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Luke B. Striegel officiating.

Burial was in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Elkader.

Pallbearers were A. J. Johnson, J. E. Shaffer, E. J. Reynolds, Robert Rehmek, Ray Cassutt and Martin Penneton.

Mrs. Lorraine Eleanor Ponsar Miller, daughter of Louis and Elenora Ponsar, was born August 1, 1926, at Maynard, Iowa, and died Sunday, May 26, at Palmer Memorial Hospital, West Union, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident early Sunday morning.

Mrs. Miller graduated from Maynard High School in 1943 and came to Elkader that year and made her home with Milton Ponsar for nearly six years. She attended two years at the junior college in Elkader, was a secretary for the Clayton County Farm Bureau for 5 years prior to her marriage to John J. Miller, Sep. 24, 1949, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Elkader.

Mrs. Miller was a member of St. Joseph's Guild, V.F.W. Auxiliary, Central Community Hospital Auxiliary, St. Joseph's High School Association, and A.C.C.W.
