Farmersburg, Ia., Oct. 22- The funeral of Charles Hinsch, 83, pioneer merchant of Farmersburg, was held at the home Friday afternoon.
Mr. Hinsch came to the Farmersburg vicinity as a young man, and had been in the hardware business here for over 50 years. He held office as mayor, school director and director of the Farmersburg Savings bank. He was active in the Masonic order and the funeral will be conducted under the auspices of the Masonic lodge.
The father's death is the first break in the Hinsch family in 50 years. He is survived by his widow, and seven sons and daughters, H. D. Hinsch, Estherville, Ia.; Mrs. C. F. Meier, Miles City, Mont.; Chas. H. Hinsch, McGregor; Mrs. Clifford Coon, Van Horne, Ia.; Arthur Hinsch, McGregor; Mrs. Peter Hemrich, Los Angeles, Cal.; Mrs. Arthur Mohrman, McGregor. Burial was made in the local cemetery.
