Elkader- Charles Meter, 88, of Elkader, died Tuesday morning at Central Community Hospital, Elkader.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Peace United Church of Christ, Elkader, with burial in Eastside Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Witt Funeral Home, Elkader.

Surviving are his widow, Edna; a daughter, Mrs. M. E. (Iva) Britton of Oshkosh, Wis.; a son, Marvin of Bowling Green, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Clara Dittmer of Strawberry Point, Ia.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
