Funeral services for Miss Tena Hulverson were held Wednesday, April 2, 1958, at the chapel in St. Olaf at 1:30 and at Norway church at 2 o'clock with pastor Bruce Boyce officiating. Pallbearers were Fred Rugland, Vern Rugland, Arthur Schmidt, Frank Engelhardt, John Larson and Don Houg.
Tena Hulverson, daughter of Hans and Christine Hovdy Hulverson, was born January 11, 1873, on a farm in Boardman township. She was a member of the Lutheran church, having been baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.
She made her home with her sister, Mrs. Gina Thompson, for a number of years. In 1939 she moved with her brother to St. Olaf where she kept house for him until his death in 1940, from then on she lived in her home in St. Olaf until November, 1957, when she entered the Calmar Sunset home. In January, due to her illness, she was moved to the Aase Haugen home near Decorah, where she died March 29, 1958, at the age of 85 years.
Tena was the last member of a family of ten sisters and one brother: Carrie, Mrs. H. Halvorsen; Mrs. Nettie Larson; Gina, Mrs. G. Thompson; Martha, Mrs. P. Paulson; Clara, Mrs. L. A. Larson; Lena, Mrs. A. C. Meyer; Mattie, Helen, Belle, and C. O. Hulverson.
She is survived by six nieces and six nephews and many other relatives.

Larson, Elkader.
