Funeral Services will be held here Sunday afternoon at 2o'clock for Mrs Alma Ruth Beyer, 77 whose death occurred Wednesday afternoon following a brief illness. Burial will be in the Edgewood Cemetery.
As Alma Ruth Fenner, she was born Sept. 10, 1861, on a farm five miles northwest of Edgewood, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Fenner. After she finished school, she taught for several years. On May 8, 1881, she was married to to Henry Fleck Beyer, also a native of Clayton County, and who was in business here until his death April 3, 1925.
Surviving are five children: F.W. Beyer, Mrs. L.L. Shaffer, and Claude, all of Edgewood; Albert, of Mobridge, S.D., and Frank, of Armour, S.D. There are also two grandchildren.
Mrs. Beyer was a member of the Mother Church of Christ, Scientist, of Avalon Chapter of Eastern Star, and the local Woman's Christian Temperance Union.
