McGregor- Mrs. Elmer Knapp, 36 years old, was killed Friday night when the pick-up truck she was driving turned over on a soft shoulder on Highway 18 five miles west of McGregor and pinned her between a door and the car.
She was returning from a shopping trip to Dubuque with her two daughters, Donna, 15, and Betty, 14, who escaped uninjured when a door flew open in the crash.
Mrs. Knapp and her husband operated the Kozy Corner restaurant here.
Surviving, in addition to her husband and daughters, are her mother, Mrs. Mae Halverson of McGregor, and a sister, Mrs. Clara Burkett of Jersey City, N.J.
Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Methodist church with the Rev. E. G. Steinman officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove cemetery.
Pallbearers were Lyle Moe; Arno Corlett, Alvin Franz, Jack McWilliams, Robert Kinsley and Richard Myers.
