John Davis, Formerly Of McGregor, Died in Arriba, Colorado, November 12

McGREGOR: Relatives have recently received the news of the death of a former McGregorite, Mr. John Davis, who died at his home in Arriba, Colo., Nov. 12, 1936. He was born in McGregor, Aug. 28, 1870, the youngest son of Lewis and Amanda Davis. He graduated from the high school here and then attended Oberlin college in Ohio and a normal school in Iowa. He taught school for 18 years. In 1901 he was married to Miss Linnie Gall of Farmersburg. Two children were born to them, Kenneth who died in 1927, and Mrs. Zelda Kelley. He has two sisters in McGregor, Mrs. Malinda Claudy and Mrs. Mary Faber.
