Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Robbins were held at the Edgewood Methodist church Tuesday at 2 p.m. in charge of Rev. R.C. Scott, pastor of the church. The pallbearers were Miles Lamphier, Meron Axtell, Richard Roquet, Donald Roquet, John Roquet and Robert Roquet. All the pallbearers were nephews of Mrs. Robbins. The Music was furnished by Mrs. Clarke Tyrrell and Claude Rulon accompanied by Mrs. Lee Way. Burial was in the Edgewood cemetery.

Clara, daughter of William and Elizabeth Lamphier, was born near Volga, Iowa, June 12, 1865, and passed away at her home in Edgewood, June 1, 1947, aged 81 years, 11 months and 20 days.

August 2, 1890 she was married to Charles Robbins. A daughter, Josie and a son Laurence, and an infant son and daughter preceded her in death. She leaves six children, eleven grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews, and one brother to mourn her passing.

Mrs. Robbins was a quiet, unassuming little lady, so quiet in fact that few knew of many kind deeds and ministrations, and none knew in full how much she projected her life into the lives of others around her, but a great number of friends, with the family, could bear witness to her thoughtfulness and unceasing desire to be helpful wherever there was need.

For nearly thirty years she had been a loyal and interested member of the Edgewood Methodist church, finding much satisfaction in the activities of the Friendship Class of the church school. She was also an ever dependable member of the W.C.T.U. and the W.R.C.
