MRS. BURRACK DIED JUNE 15
Funeral Held Sunday Afternoon at Lutheran Church In Strawberry PointMrs. Anna Wilhelmina Burrack, daughter of Mr and Mrs William Imlau, was born in Cox Creek township, Clayton County, June 19, 1887. She was baptized in infancy and confirmed at the age of fourteen in the Lutheran church. On October 17, 1906, she was unied in marriage to John Burrack of Putnam township, Fayette County, Iowa, and to them were born four children, two dying in infancy, the surviving ones being Alvin and Rolland. About two years ago the deceased commenced ailing and last summer she went to Iowa City to undergo an operation for gall stones and at the same time it was found that she was afflicted with a cancer. An operation for that trouble was of no avail. For the last two months she was a great sufferer and had to kept under an opiate most of the time. She succombed to her sickness Thursday afternoon, June 15, 1916 at the age of 28 years, 11 months and 26 days. Besides the parents,she leaves her husband and childen, four sisters and one brother to mourn: Mrs Wm Rosenthal of Decorah, Mrs Richard Kamoos, Mrs Herman Roloffe, Miss Bertha and Frank Imlau all of this place. Funeral services were held at the Lutheran church Sunday forenoon, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Graf, who spoke many comforting words to the bereaved family. The remains were laid to rest in Strawberry Point cemetery.
