Bradley Allen Lenth, 65, of Farmersburg, Iowa, died Monday, Jan. 07, 2013 at University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. He was born on June 15, 1947 in Allamakee County, Iowa, to Wilbert and Inez (Kurth) Lenth Jr. Brad was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Monona, Iowa. He graduated from MFL High School in 1965. In 1966 Brad joined the United States Army and fought in the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1968.

Brad was united in marriage to Ethel Shady on February 24, 1968 at St. John Lutheran Church, Farmersburg, Iowa. He farmed the family farm his entire life. Brad was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church where he served on the Church Council and was treasurer, he also was a member of the Wagner Cemetery, AMVETS, American Legion and was a volunteer for the Farmersburg Fire Department. Brad enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, his Canada trips and playing cards. He was known for working hard, playing hard, loving life and laughing.

Brad is survived by his wife, Ethel of forty-four years; his four grandchildren Autumn, Addison, Elizabeth and Esben; thirteen Godchildren; nieces and Nephews, Melissa (Trent) Miene, Victoria (Shannon) Philipp, Amanda, Marshall, Marci, Lance, Nathan, Kirsten, Emily and Tara; his bothers and sisters, Sheryl (Wayne) Mielke of McGregor, Bruce (Lori) Lenth of Monona; Loren (Melanie) Lenth of Luana and Cindy (Dean) Gordon of Luana; seventeen great-nieces and great-nephews and a very special friend, Ray Adney.

Brad was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law, Elmer and mother-in-law, Betty and two brothers-in-law Robert Shady and Eugene Trappe.

Visitation will be Friday, January 11, 2013 from 3-7 pm at Leonard-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Monona, Iowa and one hour before services at the church on Saturday.

Funeral Services will be at 2 pm on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at St. John Lutheran Church, Farmersburg, Iowa, Rev. Jennifer Edinger will be the officiant.

Burial will be at the Wagner Cemetery, Farmersburg, Iowa at a later date with a Celebration of Life.

Leonard-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Monona, Iowa is helping the family with the arrangements.
