Dorethea Meyer was born in Mecklenberg, Germany, October 13, 1836, where she resided until 1854, when she came to the United States with her parents. In 1862, she was married to Frederick Heiden, who survives her. To them were born ten children, eight of whom are living, and who with the father are left to mourn the loss of a good mother and loving wife. Her death occurred on Wednesday October 9th, 1889, after a short sickness, and her remains were laid to their final rest in the Mederville cemetery on Friday last.
Deceased was very highly respected by all who knew her. She was a good woman and will be greatly missed form among her neighbors, all of whom testify to her many good qualities.
