Bruening, Louis 1831-1889

BRUENING, PIEHL, PEIHL

Died September 24th, 1889, Louis Bruening, aged 58 years. Mr. Bruening better known as Louis Piehl has been a resident of Volga township for a number of years, he always having made his home with his brother-in-law Charles Piehl. Mr. Bruening was an honest and upright citizen and on that was greatly respected. The bereaved family have the sympathy of all in their sad affliction. The funeral took place Wednesday and was very largely attended. Rev. Fuchs officiated.

Note: Buried in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery – Elkport Iowa. The surname 'Piehl' is frequently found in local newspapers spelled 'Peihl'
