Died at 11:45 a.m., Tuesday, April 16th 1889, occurred the death of Louis Edward, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Wolf of this place (Elkader), of typhoid pneumonia. The little fellow had been sick for a long time despite the loving care of his parents and friends and the best medical skill, was called to that home where sickness and pain are unknown.

He was born April 29th, 1885, and consequently was 3 years, 11 months and 13 days of age. This is the third time death has claimed a loved one from this family, and it seems that they are having more than their share of the sorrows and tribulations of this world. The many friends of the family will unite in tendering them their heartfelt sympathies. The funeral took place at two p.m. yesterday, Ref. F. W. Seifert officiating, and was very largely attended. The little one was laid to rest beside his brother and sister in the east side cemetery.
