Littleport - Wm. J. Nading died Wednesday, February 17th, at the home of his sons, John and Forest Nading, at the age of 84 years. He had been ill for some time.
Mr. Nading had spent his entire life in Clayton county and was one of its oldest settlers. His wife died several years ago.
He leaves to mourn his passing the following children: Jasper, Mederville; James, John, Forest, Flouris, Harrison, Merrit and Fred, in and near Littleport; two daughters, Mrs. A. Stone of Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Bushaw of Edgewood; three children preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at the home Friday afternoon, with interment in the Union cemetery. Six sons acted as pallbearers. Besides his children, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren survive.
