Monona: Funeral services for Mrs. Clarence Boots, Monona, were held in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Monona at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 1974. Pastor R. D. Ehlers officiated.

Grace Louise, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lang, was born on November 18, 1904, in Marquette, Iowa. She grew up in the town of Marquette.

On December 24, 1926, she was united in marriage with Clarence Boots. Nine children were born to this union: Clarence James Boots of Zwingle; Betty Freilinger of Monona; Tommy Lee Boots of Monona; Darlene Pottebaum of Dubuque; Kenneth Fredrick Boots of Harpers Ferry; Gwendolyn K. Vanderah of Cuba City, Wis.; Richard Warren Boots of Waukon; Carolea Jellison of Guam; and Sally Jane Dreier of Monona.

They lived in Elkader from 1926 to 1942 and in Dubuque from 1942 until Mr. Boots retired in 1964. Since 1964 they have lived in Monona.

She was ill several months preceding her death on Thursday, Feb. 21, 1974. She reached the age of 69 years, three months and three days.

Preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers.

She is survived by her husband, nine children, 37 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Mata Montour, St. Olaf; Mrs. Irma Dyekmen, Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Selma McKaugue, Chicago.

Pallbearers were Jimmy Kinney, Johnny Lange, Gene Ferguson Jr., Randy Mielke, Steven Pottebaum and Mick Ferguson. Mrs. Roger Halvorson provided organ music for the services and the congregational singing. Burial was in the New Monona Cemetery.
