Oelwein Daily Register, 10 Feb. 1969.

Elkader - Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 12, 1:30 p.m. at the Norway Lutheran church in St. Olaf for Mrs. Julia T. Koons, 71, Elkader. She died Saturday at the Central Community hospital in Elkader.

Burial will be at the church cemetery. The Witt funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include a son, Julian, Elkader; a brother, Perry Peterson, Elkader; one sister, Mrs. John Niles, Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren and seven step-children.
