St. Olaf - The funeral of Joseph Martie was held at 2 o'clock last Saturday afternoon at the Norway church, Rev. S. J. Strandjord officiating and reading the last prayer at the graveside in Norway cemetery.

Joseph Martie reached the age of 70 years, 11 months and 28 days. He was married to Carolina Peterson on July 06, 1894. To this union 6 children were born, five boys and one girl.

The deceased was born Dec. 26, 1865, in Marion township, and has made his home there his entire life. He leaves to mourn, his wife, six children, seven grandchildren, and a host of friends of this and surrounding communities.
