Rierson, Cedella Minerva (Ellestad) 1898 - 1931

Clayton County Register, Thur., 3 Sept. 1931.

Mrs. Ray Rierson passed away at her home, Aug. 28, 1931, after a short illness. Cedella Minerva Rierson (Ellestad) was born Feb. 27, 1898, at Spring Grove, Minn. On Sept. 7, 1920, she was united in marriage at Spring Grove, Minn., to Ray Rierson. To this union were born three children, Vernon, 10, Norris, 6, and James Edward, born July 29, 1931, died same day. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband and two boys, her father and two brothers, Newman and Rinaldo Ellestad, all of Spring Grove, Minn., and a host of friends. Funeral services were held at the Norway church Monday, Aug. 31. A very large crowd attended. Rev. S. J. Strandjord officiated.

Mrs. Rierson was a splendid Christian mother and will be missed by many. May she rest in peace and her memory never be forgotten.
