Garber - It has pleased God in his infinite wisdom to take out of this world one of his little angels, to enjoy with him the everlasting joys of Heaven. Donna Mae Berns, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aramadus Berns, who was born on the farm three miles north of Garber on Oct. 25, 1930, and died suddenly at the home of her parents, of summer flu, on August 28th, 1931. Donna Mae was sick only one day. She will be sadly missed by her parents, brother and sisters, as she was such a sweet, playful babe. Donna Mae leaves to mourn her death her parents, one brother, Luverne, and two sisters, Antoinette and Anita Rose, also her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Berns of near Guttenberg, also her great-grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Meyer, and many other relatives. Fneral took place Saturday from St. Michael's Catholic Church, Rev. Wm. Goetzinger officiating. Four little girls, namely; Evelyn Berns, Marie Berns, Noreen Berns and Reta Meyer carried the casket. Burial took place in St. Michael's cemetery.
The members of the family have the deepest sympathy of this community in the death of their precious baby.
