Clayton County Register, Wed., 25 Oct. 1939.
Funeral services for Mrs. Fred Riemath were held at the Emanuel Lutheran church, Monday afternoon, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Max O. Jahr. Burial was made in the Strawberry Point cemetery.
As Clara Elizabeth Schneider, daughter of Fredrick and Margaret Eder Schneider, she was born near Strawberry Point on April 30, 1888, and died at her home one mile south of here, Saturday, Oct. 21, after a lingering illness, the last three month being confined to her bed and enduring much suffering.
She was instructed and confirmed by the late Rev. H. Fuehr at St. Sebald. After confirmation, she remained with her parents until she was united in marriage to Fred W. Riemath, on May 3, 1905. The home has always been made here with the exception of ten years spent on a farm near Manchester. Mrs. Riemath was a member of the Royal Neighbors and the Rebekah lodges, taking an active part in both and attended when her health permitted. Surviving are her husband and three children: Bertha Riemath, Richard Riemath and Mrs. Malcolm (Fern) Kramer, all of Strawberry Point; also two grandchildren.
