Guttenberg, Iowa, June 2 – Our citizens were shocked to hear of the death of Ed. Heine, on May 29. His remains were interred in the city cemetery on Sunday afternoon. The Masons had charge of the funeral.
His sister Mrs. Henry Eckart and brothers Henry and Otto of Chicago were here to attend the funeral.

—Through a notice in last week’s McGregor News clipped from the Guttenberg News we learn of the death on May 29th of Edward L. Heine, who for a number of years conducted a jewelry and watch repair shop in Decorah. Deceased was a member of Great Light’s Lodge. His death came from heart disease.
Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born April 16, 1858 and is buried in the Guttenberg Cemetery.
