Growney, Julia 1862-1894

Julia Growney died at the home of her parents Tuesday, May 22nd, 1894.

She had been a sufferer for many years and death was finally caused by a complication of diseases. She bore her suffering without murmurs or complaint and always feeling that God had not afflicted her more than she was able to bear.

She was a devoted member of the Catholic church. The funeral services were conducted in the Garnavillo Catholic church by Rev. Father Raedler.

The deceased was born in Clayton township, March 19, 1862.

A loved one from us is gone,
And we are left her death to mourn;
But may her rest be sweet
Until at last we all shall meet.
