Daugherty, Harriet died 1867

DAUGHERTY

Died in Elkader of consumption, on Tuesday, June 25th, 1867, Mrs. Harriet M., wife of A. W. Daugherty, aged 33 years.

The above is truly a sad announcement, sad to her husband, relatives, and friends, whose grief must be intense at the loss of a woman who was so good, so pure, so esteemed.

Mrs. Daugherty had not enemy; everyone loved her, because she possessed those truly Christian virtues which in woman shine so resplendently, and endear her as a friend and neighbor; we mourn her death, but the comforting assurance that our loss is her gain, buoys up the drooping spirit and makes the sorrowers bow in the humble submission to the stern decrees of the Great Jehovah.

Mr. Daugherty has sympathy of the entire community in his great bereavement.
