We are pained to learn of the death of Mr. Isaac Otis, one of the oldest settlers in Clayton county, and founder of the Elk Mills.

He was known as an estimable citizen, and his ___ connection with the Masonic Lodge at Colesburg, being worshipful Master of it for many years, is an evidence of the esteem in which he was held by his most intimate friends.

Mr. Otis’ death will be regretted by many who knew him in the early days of Clayton county.
