Word was received here Wednesday morning that Knudt Embretson of Zumbrota, Minn. had died after a lingering illness of cancer.
Knudt Embretson was born the 28th day of April, 1875, and died the 16th day of Sept. 1931, at the age of 56 years, 4 months, and 19 days.
He was baptized and confirmed in the Norway church by Rev. Waldeland. He was a son of Lars Embretson and Jarand Embretson.
February 11, 1919 he was united in marriage to Miss Sigrid Rud and at that time moved to Zumbrota, Minn. where he since has made his home.
He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, two brothers, Nils and Ole Embretson on the home farm, two sisters, Mrs. Seth Clark of St. Olaf, and Mrs. Martin Severson of Taylor, N.D., and many relatives and friends.
His father died sixteen years ago and his mother ten years ago, a brother Embret was accidentally killed sixteen years ago.
His remains were brought her Friday evening and the funeral was held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock at the Norway church, Rev. S.J. Strandjord officiated. His remains were laid to rest in the Norway cemetery.
Mr. Embretson had many friends.
