Died at Garnavillo, on the 12th of January, of consumption, Mr. William L. Buhlman, aged 30 years.

Mr. Buhlman was born at Buckeburg Principality of Schaumburg-Lippe, Germany, on the 21st day of January, 1826 , and resided at New Bremen, Auglaize county, Ohio, until the spring of 1852, when he removed to Garnavillo, since which he has lived among us in the capacity of a merchant, and had made many warm friends, who respected him for his integrity and fair dealing.

In 1848 he was united in Marriage with Miss Dorothea Studtheit, who is left with four little children, to mourn his early death. May he who doeth all things well give her comfort and consolation in her bereavement, and may she be enabled so to live as to gain her admission to that spiritual mansion, eternal in the Heavens, where parting is not more.

Mr. Buhlman was a member of the German Lutheran Congregation in this place, and also of the Garnavillo Lodge, I.O.O.F., whose members and a very large concourse of people, accompanied his remains to the grave, where they were interred with the ceremonies of the order.
