CARTER, SACKETT, MOULTON

Died in this village, on the morning of the 21st of September, Mrs. A.M. Carter, wife of Samuel Carter, Esq. and daughter of Mr. B.F. Sackett, aged 27 years.

Mrs. Carter was one of those for whom Death has no surprise. Tho’ the summons came to her in the early prime of her life, and amid the excitements and anticipations of a new home in the west and though it came too, with startling suddenness, it found her prepared, and with great peace she exchanged a home on earth and earthly ties for an eternal inheritance.

Note: her first name is from the 1882 biography of her father Benjamin Sackett. Her mother was Thalia Moulton.
