Strawberry Point, Ia., Dec. 19. - The death of Ira Wiltsie occured Saturday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Robert Fairweather. Old age is supposed to be the cause of death.

Mr. Wiltise was born in Leeds County, Canada, Sept. 4, 1832, where the early part pf his life was spent. He came to Clayton County, Iowa, in the early sixties, where he resided until the time of his death.

His wife Elizabeth Wiltsie, passed away in March, 1910. Six children were born to them, of which five have preceded them in death. He leaves one daughter, Mrs. Minnie Fairweather, of this place. Funeral services occurred Monday afternoon at the Fairweather home, conducted by Rev. C. J. Rose, pastor, of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Internment was in the Strawberry Cemetery.

Ira I. Wiltse was born in Leeds county, Canada, September 4th, 1832, and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Robert Fairweather, Saturday, aged 84 years, 3 months and 12 days.

He came to Iowa in 1855, since which time he has resided here. He was the son of Henry and Hannah Wiltse.

He was married to Elizabeth Wiltse in 1858, she dying March 19th, 1911.

Five children were born to this union, two dying (in) infancy, one daughter dying in 1878 and one son dying in 1905. He leaves one daughter, Mrs. Robert Fairweather, of this place, and four grandchildren to mourn his demise. Funeral services occurred at the Fairweather home on Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. C. J. Rose, pastor of the M.E. Church. Interment in our beautiful cemetery.
