Catherine Ellenbolt At the residence of her son, Stewart Ellenbolt in Cox Creek Township, at 12:50a.m. Tuesday morning occurred the death of Catherine Ellenbolt nee Brown.

She was born in the township of Hope, Canada, May __, 1806, and was over 90 years old at the time of her death.

She was married to Dennis Ellenbolt in Canada, and in Sept., 1813 came to Kane county, Illinois. Then in 1852 moved to Green County, Wisconsin, and from there to McGregor in 1871.

Deceased leaves three daughters and one son to mourn her departure, Eliza McGee of Hardin, Cynthia Gould of Rossville, Allamakee County, Charlotte Cox of McGregor, and Stewart Ellenbolt.

The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon from her son's residence, being attended by a large number of friends and neighbors. The internment was at Mederville, Rev. Mr. Buholz.
