McGregor- Jerry Ellenbolt, 14, seriously burned Sunday when he came in contact with a high voltage wire, died in a McGregor hospital Wednesday.

The boy, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Ellenbolt of McGregor, rowed out to a small island in the Mississippi river last Sunday with two companions.

Jerry, his companions said, climbed a 50-foot power pole and touched a wire carrying 33,000 volts. He was knocked to the ground, seriously burned.
