Luana, Ia. - Herman Knuth, 68, died Monday at 12 o'clock of a stroke of paralysis. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at the Lutheran church and burial will be made in the Lutheran cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, three sons, Alvin and Walter, Luana, and Werner, Owatonna, Minn.; one daughter, Mrs. Arno Kliefoth, Luana, and five grandchildren.

Herman L. Knuth was born in Germany, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Knuth, coming to Chicago, Ill., with his parents when a small boy and later moving to Clayton county, which has since been his home.
He married Mary Garms. To this union were born 5 sons and one daughter; two sons, Edward and Louie, preceeded him in death. Alvin and Walter are on farms south of town; Werner at Owatona; the daughter, Mrs. Arno Kliefoth, also resides on a farm south of town. He has one brother, Emil Knuth, at Austin, Minn., a sister, Mrs. John Gottschalk, at Littleport, Iowa.
Funeral services were held from the Lutheran church Thursday afternoon; burial in cemetery nearby.
