Strawberry Point- Word was received here Friday morning from Iowa City that Mrs. Grover Fauser, 21, had passed away at University hospital. Mrs. Fauser was taken to Iowa City last Friday suffering from polio. She is Clayton county's first polio fatality this year. The Fausers live at the Harold MacKean farm east of Strawberry Point where Mr. Fauser is employed. She is survived by her husband and two children, Cathy, 3, and David, 2.

Funeral services for Mrs. Grover Fauser, 21, of Strawberry Point were held on Monday afternoon, Oct. 23, at the Lutheran church at Maynard. Mrs. Fauser died at University hospital at Iowa City on Thursday, having been ill a week with polio.

Anna Mae Schrader was born March 27, 1929 in Fayette county, the daughter of Charles and Erna (Lenz) Schrader. In May, 1946 she was married to Grover Fauser. To this union were born two children, Kathleen Ann, 3, and David Grover, 2, and they together with the husband survive.

Other survivors include the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schrader of Maynard and two sisters, Mrs. Ed Erickson of Westgate and Miss Harriet Marie Schrader of Berlin, Germany.

The Fausers have been living at the Harold MacKean farm, east of Strawberry Point where Mr. Fauser was employed. Mrs. Fauser was a member of the Lutheran church and the Women's Missionary Society.
