Elkader- Clarence A. Hall, 52, Dickinson county superintendent for the last four years, died suddenly Monday morning at his home in Spirit Lake.

Mr. Hall was born and reared at Elkport in Clayton county. He was a graduate of Upper Iowa University. He was formerly superintendent of schools at Cambridge and Andrew, Iowa, and taught in high schools of western Iowa for a number of years.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Hall is survived by his mother, Mrs. Marguerite Hall of Strawberry Point, and two sisters, Mrs. Lavern Balen of Strawberry Point and Mrs. Mike Leonard of Elkader.

The body was taken to Diedsch funeral home at Dubuque. Funeral arrangements are pending.
