Iowa Deaths:

Elkader- Ed West, 87, died Thursday in McGregor hospital. Services, 1 p.m. Monday in Witt funeral chapel here.

Clayton County Register, 16 Marr. 1950.

Funeral services for Edward West, 86, were held at the Witt funeral chapel at one o'clock Monday afternoon, March 13, the Rev. Paul Kitterer officiating. Burial was in the East Side cemetery.

Mr. West died at the McGregor hospital Thursday, March 09. Death was due to the infirmities of old age.

Edward West, the son of William and Elizabeth (Underwood) West, was born in Highland township, Clayton county, Nov. 10, 1863. When a young man he was married to Miss Julia Larson. Four children were born to this union: namely, Louis, William and Mabel, who survive, and a son Clifton, who preceded his father in death Dec. 19, 1937.
