Edgewood- Mrs. Mary Boehm, 75, of Elkport died early Tuesday morning. Body is at Rhines funeral home. Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Elkport Lutheran church. Burial, Mt. Harmony cemetery.

Marie Wilhelmine Boehm, a daughter of Henry Becker and his wife Henrietta, nee Waterman, was born in Volga township, Clayton county, August 11, 1874. She was baptized and confirmed in Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran church at Elkport, and was a member of that church at the time of her death.
She was married to William J. Boehm on Dec. 12, 1894, and there after they made their home on the farm where she died.
Four sons were born to this union.
For many years Mrs. Boehm was confined to her home. During the past ten months her health failed steadily. At 1:30 Tuesday morning, March 28, she died at the age of 75 years, seven months and 17 days.
Her husband, four brothers and two grandchildren preceded her in death.
Survivors are her four sons, Elmer and Walter at home and Harvey and Kermit at Dubuque; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Brandtman of Dubuque, and Mrs. Strube of Alhambra, Calif.: four grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, March 30, at 12 o'clock at the Rhines funeral home at Edgewood and at 1 o'clock at the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran church at Elkport. Interment was in the Mt. Harmony cemetery with the Rev. W. G. Weber in charge of the services.
Mrs. Lloyd Wessell sang "Softly and Tenderly Jesus Is Calling" and "God Be With You 'Til We Meet Again." The organist was Mrs. Virgil Clefisch.
The pallbearers were: Louie Fritz, Lawrence Thein, Martin Waterman, Lawrence Waterman, George Gifford and Emil Boehm.
