Elkader- Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Hulverson, 71, who died at her home in Elkader early Wednesday morning, will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 at Witt funeral chapel and burial will be in the east side cemetery. The Rev. Paul Kitterer, pastor of the Peace Reformed and Evangelical church, will officiate.

Born of pioneer parentage February 18th, 1884, Mrs. Hulverson has lived her entire lifetime in Elkader. She and her husband, the late Lars Hulverson, were the Stewards at the Clayton County Asylum for a number of years. Mr. Hulverson died in 1924.

Mrs. Hulverson is survived by one daughter, Mary, who is the head of the commercial department in the high school at Spirit Lake. Also surviving are two brothers and two sisters.
