Miss Viola Justina Emilie Mueller, daughter of F. Henry and Justine Mueller, nee Rueter, was born July 21, 1905, in Garnavillo township, and died Dec. 8, 1935, at the age of 30 years, four months and 17 days.

Her parents preceded her in death. Her father died when she was seven years old, and her mother died four years later. After the death of her parents, the five children were put under the guardianship of their aunt, Mrs. Margaret Rueter.

Miss Mueller was baptized in St. Peter’s church on Sept. 31, 1905, and confirmed on Palm Sunday, 1919.

She leaves to mourn her death, two sisters, Mrs. Laura Biederman and Miss Marie Mueller; and two brothers, Oliver and Valmah, all of Garnavillo township.

Funeral services were held from St. Paul’s church on Dec. 8th, with Rev. Harder officiating. Interment was made in the Garnavillo cemetery.
