Monday rites for Fred F. Kuehl, 73, Elkader area Farmer.

Elkader- Funeral services for Fred M. Kuehl, 73, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 23, at Peace United Church of Christ in Elkader. He died Friday morning at Central Community Hospital here where he had been a patient the past six weeks.

Mr. Kuehl was a prominent Clayton County farmer and had been township trustee for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Hilda; three daughters, Mrs. Clarence Woods, Elkader; Mrs. R. J. McKenna, Santa Monica, Calif.; Mrs. Donald Bennett, Cedar Rapids; three sons, Harold, Hinsdale, Ill.; Howard, Elkader; Donald, Mountain View, Calif.; a brother, George, Elkader; six sisters, Mrs. Carrie Reimer, Garnavillo; Mrs. Marie Reimer, Mrs. Kate Baars, Mrs. Leo Keleher, Mrs. Milton Kling and Mrs. Malcom Stoops, all of Elkader and 22 grandchildren.

Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Friends may call at the funeral home after 8 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in the Garnavillo Cemetery.
