St. Olaf- Melissa Ann Kruse, 9, Route 1, died Wednesday morning at Mercy Health Center, Dubuque, after a long illness. She completed the Garnavillo Handicapped Pre-School last spring.

Surviving are her parents, Irvin and Carol Kruse; two sisters, Laura of Dubuque and Nancy at home; one brother, Troy at home; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Eldo Wilke of Elkader; and paternal grandmother, Mildred Kruse of Elkader.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday, Peace United Church of Christ, Elkader. Burial: Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Clayton Center. Friends may call after 2:30 p.m. today at Leonard-Witt's, Elkader.
