Monona, Ia. - The seven months old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F.V. Lestina was burned to death Monday afternoon in her home, a few miles east of Monona. The details of the tragedy are lacking as only a 30 months old sister was in the house at the time. The mother went to the laundry, which is located about 60 feet from the house, and was away for only five minutes. When she returned she saw her baby in flames. It is thought that the older sister lighted a paper from the stove fire and accidentally ignited the baby's clothes.
The child is survived by her parents, two sisters and three brothers. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon.

~Note: The baby's first name was Stacia per Monona City cemetery burial records
