McGregor, Ia., Oct. 20 - The funeral of Richard Davies, who was for many years a resident of Clayton county, was held on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at the McGregor Methodist church, Rev. F.H. Schepple officiating.
Mr. Davies died Wednesday night, Oct. 15, at his home, three miles west of McGregor. He is survived by four children: William Davies and Mrs. Seward Henkes of McGregor, and Earl and Leslie Davies of the home farm; one sister, Mrs. Mary Halbner of Stillwater, Minn.; three brothers, Daniel Davies and James Davies, McGregor, and Lewis Davies of Spokane, Washington. Mr. Davies is also survived by eight grandchildren.
Vocal numbers were sung at the funeral service by a trio, Mesdames Frank Coon, Minnie Sparks, and F.H. Schepple.
