Colesburg- Mark David Schaffer, 40, of rural Colesburg, died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2004, in the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital after a short illness. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, St. Mary's Catholic Church, by the Rev. Marvin Bries. The family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Guttenberg.

Survivors include his father, William of Colesburg; two sisters, Diane Taber of Camanche and Karen Schaffer of Colesburg; and two brothers, Kenneth of West Dundee, Ill., and Dennis of West Des Moines.

(NOTE: Burial was in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Guttenberg, Iowa.)
